In 2002, the second generation Honda CR-V officially began to be sold in Russia. It should be noted that this SUV category car (parquet SUV) has gained popularity in our country since the first generation. The second, becoming in many respects the further development of the previous generation, provided the model with a strong market position and allowed to win the love of many fans. Despite a certain resemblance to its predecessor, technically the car was, in fact, created anew: body, suspension, engine - these elements underwent thorough processing. The simplest of the CR-V models offered in Russia in LS configuration includes a manual transmission, 4 airbags, heated mirrors and seats, an electric driver’s seat, climate control, an exchange rate stability system, an immobilizer and a central lock. The following two configurations differ from each other only in the type of gearbox (“mechanics” or “automatic”), and of the additional options have fog lights, alloy wheels 16 ”, stabilization system, cruise control. Honda CR-V does not have a center differential lock or a reduced transmission line, but this car was not created for real off-road. The approach to protecting the driver and passengers is very high. In front, the CR-V is equipped with powerful ventilated disc brakes with a diameter of 282 mm, behind - solid discs of the same size. Power steering - with a variable characteristic: with a set of speed, the steering becomes noticeably sharper. All these elements make Honda CR-V one of the best cars of its time in terms of safety. With a new ultra-rigid body frame, this crossover received four out of five stars according to the results of the Euro NCAP crash test and at the same time became the best SUV with respect to pedestrians, having won three out of four stars.
