Infiniti Q50 4 generation 03.2013 - 11.2017

Sedan
In 2013, the Infiniti Q50 premium sedan was presented at the Detroit Auto Show - the first model to be named for its brand name change strategy. The Q50 replaces the Infiniti G Series sedan and embodies the company's new design direction. The Infiniti Q50 went on sale in the Russian market in April 2014. The car was offered with one of two power plants to choose from: a two-liter gasoline turbo engine with a return of 211 hp. or a hybrid system with a 3.5-liter V6, with a total capacity of 355 liters. with. As the transmission for the Q50 is a 7-speed “automatic” with the ability to manually switch the “petals” on the steering wheel. The car is available both with rear-wheel drive, with a base motor, and with all-wheel drive in more powerful versions. Pilots of the formula team of the Red Bull Racing Sebastian Vettel and Sebastian Buemi took part in the settings of the driving qualities of the sedan. The debugging took place both in Japan and at the Nurburgring. In 2015, the model was updated. External changes are insignificant, and the main innovation was the appearance of a version with a three-liter V6 turbo engine with a capacity of 405 hp.
If in the simplest configuration Base the sedan is equipped with halogen headlights, the rear seatback is indivisible, the audio system includes 6 speakers and a USB output, the interior is trimmed with aluminum inserts, and the launch is carried out with the usual ignition switch, then in more expensive trim levels there is a list of standard equipment and possible options impressive. So, for example, depending on the level of equipment, the Infiniti Q50 will offer LED headlights and taillights, 19-inch wheels, a panoramic roof, two touch screens in the cabin, an i-Keys system with memory settings (climate control, audio systems and others) for four drivers, all-round visibility, navigation, Hi-Fi HDD Bose audio system with 14 speakers and an active noise reduction system. In addition, there are support for manual gear shifting, leather upholstery, natural wood inserts, folding rear seats. The sedan is offered with eight body colors, each complemented by a Scratch Shield self-healing coating. The basic two-liter gasoline engine - inline four with a turbocharger - develops a maximum power of 211 hp. (350 Nm of torque) and accelerates the sedan to 100 km / h in 7.3 seconds at a maximum speed of 245 km / h. The hybrid HEV variant combines a gasoline V6 with a volume of 3.5 liters (298 hp) and an electric motor with a return of 67 hp. Storing electricity is the task of a compact lithium-ion battery. In this version, the sedan accelerates to 100 km / h in 5.5 seconds, and the maximum speed is 250 km / h. The three-liter engine is based on the legendary "six" of the VQ series. Compared to the previous 3.7-liter engine, the new 3.0-liter unit is 14.1 kg lighter and weighs 194.8 kg. The mass reduction was achieved by integrating the exhaust manifolds into the heads of the blocks and reducing the wall thickness of the cylinders, which are coated with a special composition that reduces friction by 40%. The use of a liquid heat exchanger at the inlet made it possible to improve the filling of the cylinders, and low-inertia turbocompressors reduced the “turbo-hole” and improved the response to the fuel supply. With this motor, acceleration to the first "hundred" occurs in just 5.4 seconds. The average fuel consumption is 7 l / 100 km for the base engine, 9.3 l / 100 km for the three-liter and 6.8 l / 100 km for the hybrid installation.

The Infiniti Q50 sedan has a front independent double wishbones suspension and a multi-link rear suspension. The car uses adaptive steering with four preset operating modes. A feature of cars in expensive trim levels (GT and above) is the presence of a DAS (Direct Active Steering) system, in which the steering wheel does not have a physical connection with the wheels. According to the designers, this makes the ride safer and more comfortable. Overall dimensions of the sedan: length - 4800 mm, width - 1820 mm, height - 1455 mm. Due to the smooth streamlined forms, the body has an aerodynamic drag coefficient of 0.26-0.27. Wheelbase - 2850 mm. The standard tire size is 225 / 45R17 for the initial versions, 245/40 R19 for more expensive trim levels (no spare is provided). The luggage compartment has a volume of 500 liters. The ride height is only 126 mm. If we talk about security, then the Infiniti Q50 in 2013, having passed testing according to Euro NCAP standards, received the maximum possible 5 stars. The basic equipment includes six airbags, child restraints, active head restraints, ventilated disc brakes with a set of ABS + EBD + BAS systems, directional stability system, traction control, assist when starting on an ascent, cruise control, tire pressure sensors. More expensive trim levels come standard with rain / light sensors, adaptive LED headlights, front and rear parking sensors, as well as driver assistance systems, including radar cruise control and a lane departure warning system. The Infiniti Q50 incorporates the best technology and was created primarily with a view to the European market, while it has much in common with the Mercedes W205 (the basic Daimler engine, like the 7G-Tronic transmission), but unlike the comparable price Mercedes C-class offers more rich equipment. In the minuses of the car, the owners note: the lack of storage space, low ground clearance, the simplicity of the basic configuration, where, for example, there are no electric adjustments to the front seats and other premium features. Among the characteristic “diseases” are problems with camshafts on Mercedes engines, which must be taken into account when buying a used car. In advantages - an optimum ratio price / quality, pleasant design, excellent controllability and comfort.
