Infiniti QX56 2 generation 03.2010 - 10.2013

SUV
Infiniti QX56 (Z62) was first introduced at the beginning of 2004 at the international auto show in the USA. In the name of the car, Q means that the model is the top in the Infiniti line-up (among the sedans, the Infiniti Q45 was the flagship for a long time), the letter X indicates the off-road characteristics of the car, and 56 indicates the volume of the power plant. In November 2007, the SUV was officially sold in Russia. The basis of the second generation QX56 was Nissan Patrol. The new Infiniti flagship has a 7- or 8-seater saloon with luxurious filling and the most cubic engine ever used on Infiniti models is the 5.6-liter V8, paired with a 7-speed automatic transmission. Infiniti only offers four-wheel drive QX56 for harsh conditions on Russian roads, while rear-wheel drive versions are also popular in the United States.
Standard equipment for the 2010 Infiniti QX56 includes bi-xenon headlights, headlight washers, front and rear fog lights, LED taillights, folding electric mirrors, a sunroof, and a power tailgate. The leather interior is equipped with a climate control system, heated first and second row seats, a 333 W premium two-channel audio system, Infiniti infotainment center with a folding 8-inch color screen mounted on the ceiling and a ventilation hatch with automatic opening. For the driver’s convenience, a seat with 10 electrical adjustments, a heated steering wheel, cruise control, a rearview camera and a chip key are provided. The car remained as spacious as its predecessor, there are two options for the layout of the cabin: 2 + 2 + 3 and 2 + 3 + 3, with a decent supply of space for each row. To move this 5.3-meter giant with a mass of almost 2.8 tons, a powerful power unit is required - it was the VK56VD series engine, based on the engine of the previous VK56DE series. Initially, this power plant was used on the Nissan Armada, but for the QX56 luxury model it was reworked twice, so now the engine power reaches 405 liters. sec., and the maximum torque is 560 Nm. The engine is distinguished by direct fuel injection, a system for changing the valve timing on all camshafts, as well as a system for changing the lift height of the VVEL valves. In combination with this engine and a 7-speed automatic transmission, the new Infiniti QX56 accelerates to a maximum speed of 210 km / h, and from zero to 100 km / h accelerates in just 6.5 seconds. Gasoline consumption is 20.6 l / 100 km in the urban cycle and 11 l / 100 km in the countryside. The fuel tank has a capacity of 100 liters.

The Infiniti QX56 has an independent spring suspension on the double wishbones at the front and independent, pneumatic, on the double wishbones at the rear, this combination provides high smoothness and excellent handling in its class. Pneumatic rear suspension features maintain constant ground clearance. The car is deprived of such a familiar thing as anti-roll bars. Instead, the hydraulic system Hydraulic Body Motion Control fights against rolls: the hydraulic cylinders of the shock absorbers are connected to each other and to the hydraulic accumulators via highways, the system functions by flowing fluid, depending on the load on a particular shock absorber. The All-Mode 4WD drive system is capable of real-time calculating the required tractive effort and instantly respond to changing conditions. In AUTO mode - automatically distributes torque between the front and rear wheels for better handling and dynamic acceleration, in addition, 2WD, 4WD High and 4WD Low modes are provided. With dynamic stabilization systems (VDC), brake force distribution (EBD) and braking assistance (BA), as well as traction control (TCS) and anti-lock braking (ABS) systems, the Infiniti QX56 will allow the driver to feel confident in any road conditions. The standard equipment also includes rain and light sensors, a set of six airbags (front, front side, full-size curtains), active head restraints, child seat mounts, parking sensors, headlight delay function, adaptive road lighting, tire pressure sensors. In the Hi-tech configuration, you do not have to pay extra for the presence of an assistant for lane conservation, radar cruise control, combined with a collision avoidance system with automatic braking function.

Infiniti QX56 - a typical American car, created by Japanese engineers, and at the same time perfectly suitable for Russian conditions. In the pluses, Drom experts note excellent dynamics, good smoothness, convenient controls, and large capacity. In the minuses - insufficient visibility and effectiveness of the brakes. In addition, when buying a used QX56, you should remember the characteristic “diseases” and pay attention to the weaknesses of the engine - the condition of the chain and catalysts. At the end of 2013, as part of the campaign to rename the Infiniti lineup, the car received the QX80 index.
