The world premiere of the fourth generation Lexus GS (L10) took place in August 2011. In Russia, sales of the GS250 and GS350 AWD began in the first quarter of 2012. All-wheel drive Lexus GS350 AWD is equipped with a 3.5-liter V6 engine and with a 6-speed automatic transmission. The model reflected the new embodiment of the Lexus design philosophy, according to which the GS received an even more spectacular sports design, aerodynamic performance was improved (aerodynamic drag coefficient reduced to 0.26). The car is characterized by increased body rigidity due to an increase in the number of weld points and the addition of laser welds in the most critical places. All this has increased stability and security. And the new, more efficient gearbox, the wider use of light alloys in the suspension and other changes in the design guaranteed high dynamic performance - up to 100 km / h Lexus GS350 accelerates in just 6.3 seconds. Until 2015, the Lexus GS350 was offered in the Russian market in four trim levels: “Premium”, “Luxury”, “F SPORT Premium” and “F SPORT Luxury”. Since 2015, the model has been presented in one version of “Advance”, which includes everything you need: bi-xenon headlights with washers and an automatic tilt adjuster, alloy wheels with 225 / 50R17 tires, LED running lights, electric tailgate and folding heated side mirrors. Of the comfort functions, the car in this version offers dual-zone climate control, heated and ventilated front seats, a comfortable driver's seat / disembarkation system (automatically sliding steering column and seat), electrically adjustable front seats (driver's with position memory), leather interior, steering wheel heating wheels. The multimedia system includes a 12.3 "monitor with a Remote-Touch joystick and supports AUX, USB and Bluetooth interfaces.

Lexus GS350 AWD is equipped with a 3.5-liter V6 engine in combination with a 6-speed automatic transmission with manual sequential gearshift using the steering column switches. The 2GR-FSE engine has an aluminum cylinder block with cast-iron sleeves and is distinguished by the presence of a timing chain drive, as well as a variable valve timing system at the inlet and outlet of the Dual-VVTi, ACIS variable geometry manifold, and all this combined with D4S combined fuel injection with compression ratio 11.8. Such an alloy of technology provides serious characteristics - the engine produces 317 hp. power at 6400 rpm and a torque of 378 Nm at 4800 rpm. Specific power - a little more than five and a half kilograms per horsepower. Average fuel consumption - 10.2 l / 100 km.

Built on the upgraded Toyota New N platform, the Lexus GS350 has a fully independent suspension (double wishbone front and multi-link rear), which provides increased maneuverability and improved rideability, a long wheelbase (2850 mm) also contributes to the latter. The electronically controlled all-wheel drive system can distribute torque between the axles in equal proportions (50/50), and in a ratio of 30/70, depending on road conditions. The equipment includes an integrated system of vehicle dynamics control (VDIM), which normally provides for a choice of three modes (ECO / NORMAL / SPORT), but on models equipped with adaptive adjustable suspension (AVS), Sport S + mode is additionally available, which provides even more high dynamics. The increased rigidity of the body of the Lexus GS350 contributes not only to a more sensitive and accurate steering response, but also increased safety. The holding devices include: 10 airbags (front two-stage, front knee, front side, rear side, curtain type), ISOFIX mounts, belts with pretensioners. From active safety systems: assistance at launch on the rise, anti-lock braking system, electronic brake force distribution system, traction control, directional stability control, tire pressure loss sensors. Despite the outstanding characteristics, in the Russian market, the Lexus GS of this generation was not very successful. As a result, of the initially proposed three modifications, which also included the GS250 and the hybrid GS450h, at the beginning of 2015 there was only the Lexus GS350, which is in higher demand. It is richly equipped with various pleasant "little things" responsible for the increased comfort of the driver and passengers. And at the same time it is an excellent example of a business sedan with serious opportunities for active driving.
