Lexus GX (the name stands for Grand Crossover) became the third representative of the off-road class in the Lexus model range and is a luxury version of Toyota Land Cruiser Prado. The first generation went into operation in 2002. In 2009, the second generation debuted, presented by the Lexus GX460. The car is a frame SUV, while its chassis is tuned in such a way as to ensure flawless driving performance and confident driving in any conditions, whether it is city roads or off-road. Extremely comfortable and luxurious, it is made in the exclusive L-finesse brand design and equipped with a 4.6-liter V-shaped gasoline engine. It differs from the previous generation in more streamlined forms - the drag coefficient is reduced to 0.35. Having undergone a redesign in 2013, the car was improved in many respects - these versions are easily recognizable by the new spindle-shaped radiator grille.
In the Russian market, the car was offered in five configurations and already in the base has 18-inch alloy wheels and xenon headlights with washers; front seats are automatically adjusted in 8 directions, equipped with heating and ventilation; Lexus premium audio system of 9 speakers, a rearview camera and a 4.2-inch multi-information display are installed. For off-road driving, a lower gear is provided. Under normal conditions, the central differential transfers 40% of the torque to the front axle and 60% to the rear. Depending on the road conditions, this ratio can vary from 50:50 to 30:70. The KDSS system (kinetic stabilization of the suspension) is standard equipment and allows you to improve the level of controllability both on the road and on the road.
The standard equipment responsible for safety includes: 10 pillows, including knee pads; anti-lock braking system (ABS) with electronic brake force distribution and emergency brake booster; Stability Program (VSC), which helps to avoid skidding in corners.
