Lexus RC F is a sports coupe equipped with the most powerful V8 engine in the history of Lexus - an atmospheric unit of 5 liters with a return of 477 “forces”. The name of the RC family comes from the Radical Coupe. The additional letter F (from the name of the Fuji Speedway sports track) is now a tribute to tradition, designating the most high-performance model in the lineup (similar to the Lexus IS F). Externally, the RC F differs from the base coupe by an aerodynamic body kit with a massive wing, four exhaust pipes, and the car also has specially designed braking mechanisms and a suspension system, wider wheels and tires. In Japan, the model went on sale in October 2014. In May 2015, a version with the “Carbon Exterior Package” package was added, which provides for the hood, roof and rear spoiler made of carbon fiber.

Lexus RC F standard equipment includes L-shaped headlights with three LED elements, rear LED lights, 19-inch alloy wheels, sports seats with integrated head restraints and enhanced lateral support, a multi-function heated steering wheel (the rim is trimmed with leather, as well as gear shift knob), front seats with electric, ventilation and heating, intelligent interior access system, dual-zone climate control. The interior is made in a sports style and involves pedals, a sports instrument panel (in the spirit of the LFA sports car), which displays the readings of a tachometer, speedometer (in digital and analogue form), a differential monitor with traction vector control, an overload indicator and even a stopwatch. Also in the basic configuration, the car is equipped with an electric sunroof. Given that the body has two doors, for ease of access to the second row, the front seats are equipped with an one-touch electromechanical device. The output of the power unit reaches 477 hp power and 530 Nm of torque. The motor is paired with an eight-speed “automatic” Sport Direct Shift (SDS) with manual control. The transmission is characterized by a very fast response (downshift in just 0.2 seconds) and can work in manual mode using the steering wheel paddles. Acceleration to "hundreds" will take RC F in just 4.5 seconds. The maximum speed is 270 km / h. For the first time, the Lexus engine runs the Atkinson cycle while driving at cruising speed, which significantly reduces fuel consumption - it is 10.8 l / 100 km. The Drive Mode Select system installed in the car allows the driver to choose the most convenient driving style for him.

RC F has rear-wheel drive, a fully independent suspension (front double-lever and rear multi-link). From the world of motorsport, he received an active cross-axle differential with a controlled traction vector. For a front-wheel drive car with rear-wheel drive, this unit is used for the first time. This system distributes traction in accordance with the current driving conditions, which is especially enjoyable when cornering. The system improves vehicle stability in low- and medium-speed corners, providing increased maneuverability with a smaller steering angle. In addition, the car has an adaptive suspension and thrusters rear wheels. The carbon package, which, in addition to reducing weight, allowed to reduce the overall center of gravity by 3 mm, also enhances the dynamic characteristics. Brembo mechanisms with six-piston calipers and 380 mm discs at the front and four-piston 345 mm at the rear are responsible for effective and safe braking. As an option, calipers can be painted in bright orange.

By default, the car has eight airbags (two front, openable in two stages, front knee, front side and curtain airbags), all belts are equipped with pretensioners, ISOFIX mounts are available. Of the systems for improving visibility there are: adaptive light, auto-dimming mirrors, rain sensor. The standard equipment also includes the VDIM dynamics management system (corrects the operation of the brakes, the complex of directional stability and traction control), tire pressure monitoring. In the options: pre-emergency safety system with radar, monitoring of “blind spots”, an assistant when leaving the parking lot in reverse, a lane control system, an automatic high beam switching system.

The flagship sports coupe Lexus RC F generously used technology from the world of motorsport, while the car is also suitable for everyday use. It is distinguished by modern design and the highest quality finish materials. The manufacturer addresses the model for "young and demanding customers - lovers of drive and thrill." Since the beginning of sales in the Japanese market, the car has undergone various improvements annually, in particular, those affecting the suspension and brakes (2015), received new body colors and disc design, the LTE communication module (2016) and other changes.
