Mazda Biante minivan sales started in 2008. The car in the Mazda line is located between the MPV and Premacy models. The name Biante comes from the Italian word "ambiente". The minivan was created on the BK platform and is able to accommodate 8 people.
Initially, the car was produced only in Japan for the local market. The next country where sales started was Indonesia, where the Mazda Biante minivan was presented in 2012 at the IIMS exhibition. Even during the course of the exhibition, pre-orders for 1300 cars equipped with economical SkyActiv engines were received. Later, sales of Biante started in other countries of Southeast Asia: Malaysia, Brunei, Singapore and the Chinese administrative region of Hong Kong. The model is not supplied to the Russian market.

The dimensions of the Mazda Biante exceed Premacy: length - 4715 mm, width - 1770 mm, height - 1855 mm. The clearance of 150 mm and the soft suspension setting comfortably allow you to make trips out of town, even on country roads. The noise insulation of the cabin is violated by a poor-quality rear door seal, which transmits sounds from the outside. The suspension consists of a suspension strut in front and a multi-link suspension at the rear. Minivan brakes traditional for Mazda family cars - disc (ventilated in front).

The car has three rows of seats, with the second row - two separate seats, which, if desired, can be joined together to ensure the landing of three passengers at once. The last row is a continuous sofa, the back of which consists of two halves, capable of folding. The last two rows of seats are mounted on common rails, allowing you to adjust the distance between them to ensure maximum passenger comfort. The rear seats can be folded, but the total boot capacity of the Mazda Biante is only slightly larger than the smaller Premacy minivan. A car is produced with engines of 2.0 and 2.3 liters, with a larger engine running exclusively on high-octane gasoline (AI-98). Modifications with the 2.3 engine are equipped with gearshift paddles located on the steering wheel. All minivans come with an automatic transmission. Moreover, a six-speed transmission is supplied with SkyActiv motors, and a five-speed transmission is put on other modifications. Fuel consumption on a two-liter engine is 11.1 liters in the urban cycle and 8.3 on the highway. Motor 2.3 consumes 12.2 and 8.9 liters, respectively. The maximum speed of a family minivan is 210 km / h.

The basic equipment of the Mazda Biante includes an electric power steering, air conditioning, built-in speakers and power windows. Doors are equipped with a door closer ensuring their complete closure. For transportation of kids, the seats are equipped with ISOFIX mounts.

Safety in the cabin is ensured by the following systems: anti-lock braking system (ABS), auxiliary brake system (BAS), electronic stability control (ESP), traction control (TCS), active head restraints, airbags for the driver and front passenger.

Additionally, the Mazda Biante is equipped with xenon and front fog lights, a keyless engine start button, rear and side cameras, a rain sensor and a parking assistance system. You can add side airbags and curtain airbags.

In 2012, Mazda introduced a new version of the Biante called GRANZ. The car tried to bring in line with the new design theme of the brand - "KODO - Soul of Motion". To do this, put on the minivan a new stylish grille, as well as the corresponding front bumper. In addition, we picked up more interesting wheels (17-inch), added a bit of chrome, replaced the brake lights and installed an overlay on the exhaust pipe.
