Truck
Commercial van
The fourth-generation Mazda Bongo truck was introduced in 1999. The car is produced with right-hand drive and is intended for sales in the Japanese market. In 2012, it was announced that this generation would be the last for the model. Since 2016, they began to install the anti-lock braking system (ABS) on the car without fail, the production of modifications with double rear wheels was discontinued, and keyless start became available on all versions. The car provides space for three people. The Mazda Bongo truck is available in several versions that differ in cabin height and ground clearance (155 and 175 mm). On rear-wheel drive versions, a lift for cargo is installed. The Mazda Bongo truck can act as a refrigerator, a dump truck (the rear of the body is equipped with additional wheels) and a conventional on-board car. A four-speed automatic or five-speed manual gearbox was installed on the Mazda Bongo truck. Rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive modifications were produced. 1.8 l (95 hp) and 1.8 l (102 hp) gasoline engines and a 2.0 l diesel engine (86 hp) were installed on the truck. The minimum fuel consumption among gasoline modifications was in cars with a 95-horsepower engine and mechanical transmission: in the combined cycle, the Mazda Bongo truck consumed 9.6 liters of gasoline. All-wheel drive versions with a 102-horsepower engine had a maximum gas mileage of 10 liters. Diesel modifications consumed 6.4-7.8 liters of fuel.

The front suspension of the car is lever and the rear suspension. Ahead of the truck are ventilated disc brakes, and rear - drum brakes.

Vehicle modifications were produced with different heights - 1885, 1910 or 1925 mm. The width of all modifications is unchanged - 1690 mm. The length of the truck with a shortened wheelbase is 4335 mm, and with a long base - 4605 mm. The maximum carrying capacity of Bongo is 850-1000 kg. The dimensions of the cargo compartment of the Mazda Bongo are as follows: length - 2735 mm, width - 1600 mm, height - 385 mm.

The Mazda Bongo truck was produced in GL and DX trim levels. The basic equipment includes power windows, power steering, frontal airbags, air conditioning and a CD player. Additionally, an anti-lock braking system (ABS) was offered, which since 2016 has become available in the database.
