Mazda Tribute is a five-door SUV in the SUV category (Sport Utilivity Vehicle). This category combines the off-road qualities of a jeep and the speed characteristics of a passenger car.
The Mazda Tribute is built according to the usual scheme for most crossovers: a supporting body, an independent rear suspension, no downshift, an interaxle differential lock, permanent front-wheel drive, when slipping, a clutch replacing an interaxle differential automatically transfers part of the torque (up to 50% ) on the rear wheels. On slippery roads, you can force all-wheel drive.
Three gasoline engines are offered at choice of the buyer: in-line 2-liter capacity of 124 hp and 2.3-liter with 150 hp and a V-shaped three-liter (197 hp). The 2.0 and 2.3-liter engines are combined with a 5-speed manual transmission, while the 3.0-liter version is equipped with a 4-speed automatic transmission.
The basic equipment of the Mazda Tribute "Exclusive" is equipped with six airbags (double front airbags), sixteen-inch alloy wheels, air conditioning with an air purification filter, immobilizer, power accessories, cruise control, fog lights and an ABS system with electronic brake-force distribution (EBD). This version offers a salon with velor upholstery, audio training (speakers, wiring and radio antenna) and a leather steering wheel.
Options "Exclusive AT" is additionally equipped with a sunroof with electric roof, leather interior with heated front seats, electric driver's seat in six directions and an armrest for the driver. Externally, the Mazda Tribute in the luxury version has longitudinal arches on the roof, widened wheel arches and wider wheels.
