To the credit of AD Van, along with the next generation, he stayed on the assembly line for two years, until December 2008. An explanation of the nine years of conveyor life, and such a parallel release of models can give a rich motor range. Almost all units that existed then on the Nissan C-Class were installed on the AD Van, with the possible exception of a two-liter engine and those engines that were intended for export models. Nissan AD’s transmission options are also not deprived - “mechanics” or “automatic”, front-wheel drive or four-wheel drive (with gasoline 1.8 and diesel 2.2). Like Familia Van for three years (from 1999 to 2002), Nissan AD was sold through Mazda's dealer network.
 Changes in the appearance and interior of the Nissan AD in its third incarnation clearly benefitted the car. Outwardly, he began to look more solid due to the grown dimensions and new optics, which fit perfectly into the more streamlined body shapes. However, according to many fans of the model, the beveled back was not the best solution. But it is impossible not to note the increase in wheelbase - by 135 mm. As a cargo-passenger version, Nissan AD has the simplest and most practical finishing materials, but thanks to the new front seats and a more modern control panel, the overall level of comfort has slightly increased. The car offered a sufficient variety of trim levels, which are distinguished by the presence of functions such as height adjustment of the driver's seat, the presence of power windows, tinted windows, audio systems with a CD player, etc. d.

 Nissan AD offered several power plants, and together with all the transmission offers, the total number of modifications amounted to sixteen different options. The station wagon made it possible to save thanks to a 1.3-liter unit or 2.2-liter atmospheric diesel - with these engines fuel consumption falls within 6-7.1 l / 100 km and 5.2-6.1 l / 100 km, respectively. And 120 forces of the 1.8-liter engine and with "mechanics" and all-wheel drive (122 l. p.) - than not a "lighter"!  In the third generation, the Nissan AD retains MacPherson strut independent front suspension. The front axle rear suspension, as before, is a semi-independent beam, but with the 4WD system a more advanced option was offered - a multi-link suspension. The car is equipped with a power steering with a gear-rack mechanism, ventilated disc brakes at the front and drum brakes at the rear. Dimensions wagon has the following: 4370 x 1695 x 1475 mm (L x W x H). The car is five-seater, but the back seat cannot be called convenient, in addition, it has a solid back, showing that we still have a commercial car. Its carrying capacity is 300-400 kg.  The third-generation Nissan AD has been improved in terms of safety. The car offered three-point seat belts (waist for the central passenger at the back), a driver's airbag, and for an extra charge - an anti-lock brake system (standard for more expensive trim levels), a passenger airbag, later side airbags appeared in the list of options.  Almost devoid of soundproofing and quite tough on bumps, Nissan AD at the same time remains an almost perfect example of an inexpensive commercial station wagon. But the role of the family is already worse - the fully folding rigid rear seat is convenient for transporting goods, but the car immediately turns into a double one. The engines of the model are simple and reliable, as well as gearboxes. Among the shortcomings, the owners usually call poor corrosion protection, a “wooden” interior, and an insufficiently powerful stove.
