Wagon
A restyled version of the first generation Nissan Avenir (W10). The car received the usual changes that always accompany facelift: the grille and bumper have been updated, new options have been added, specifications have been revised, etc. Also in 1993, a new version of Salut first appeared, but so far it has been offered only as one of the top trim levels. In addition, a turbodiesel modification with a 2.0 L CD20T engine (91 L with.). The power of gasoline engines of 1.8 liters and 2.0 liters increased to 125 and 145 “horses”.
From the Avenir Cargo station wagon of the same name, the passenger version of the Nissan Avenir is distinguished by improved equipment. Already in the basic configuration there are power mirrors and power windows, a steering wheel with vertical adjustment, comfortable separate folding rear seats. More expensive versions will offer roof rails, colored bumpers, a rear wiper, fog lights, a tachometer in the dashboard, a velor upholstery of seats and an armrest on a back sofa, a sunroof, etc. The upper class was the “type ef” version, which offered an electric driver’s seat, leather seats, a steering wheel and a gear knob in leather trim, etc. After restyling, the offer for additional packages with carefully selected equipment was expanded.

Nissan Avenir W10 (1993-1995) in its comfortable modification was equipped with gasoline engines SR18DE (1.8 l, 125 hp) and SR20DE (2.0 l, 145 hp). Both engines are in-line "fours" consuming AI-92, AI-95 gasoline. Its consumption in the 10/15 mode has decreased and is 7.5-8.9 l / 100 km for a less powerful unit and 8.1-11 l / 100 km for a more powerful unit. The new CD20T turbo diesel engine (2.0 L, 91 HP) consumes about 7.5 L / 100 km. The fuel tank has a capacity of 60 liters. Transmission - mechanical 5-speed or 4-band “automatic”, the diesel engine was equipped only with automatic transmission. For a two-liter gasoline engine, an ATTESA (Full time 4WD) all-wheel drive system was available with a constant rear axle connection through a viscous clutch. In the W10 generation, the Nissan Avenir has an independent front suspension, MacPherson strut with stabilizer bar. The rear suspension is semi-dependent (torsion beam) for front-wheel drive cars, and all-wheel drive modifications are equipped with rear dependent suspension on springs (PNW10 body series). All models have power steering, ventilated disc brakes at the front, and rear brakes with drum or disc brakes. Standard tires 185 / 70R13 in the more expensive versions were replaced by wheels 195 / 65R14. Dimensions Nissan Avenir: length 4460 mm, width and height 1695 and 1490 mm. The turning radius is 5.4 m. When looking at the profile, you can notice that the Avenir has a decently extended hood and a rather voluminous trunk, but the dimensions of the cabin are not amazing - 1755 mm in length, 1435 mm in width, height 1190 mm. But the transformation capabilities inherent in the car make it quite functional and convenient to travel. For safety, the Nissan Avenir W10 (1993-1995) has three-point belts (except for the central passenger at the rear - it has a belt with a coil), an intrinsically safe design of the steering column and panels, and side stiffeners. For some models, ABS and a driver's airbag were optionally offered. The ATTESA all-wheel drive system has the advantage of electronic dynamic redistribution of torque between the front and rear axles of the car, which provides better handling and maneuverability compared to front-wheel drive modifications. Nissan Avenir was conceived as a "universal" version of the Primera model (P10). The car has a reliable stiff suspension and a large, easy-to-use luggage compartment. Engines are unpretentious and reliable, but not economical. The ground clearance is small, and the body is not well protected from corrosion. In 1995, the company carried out another upgrade of the station wagon. All models are called Avenir Salut - the updated station wagon was created in many ways with an eye to its main competitor Subaru Legacy. Particular attention was paid to design and functionality.
