Wagon
After a small restyling in 2002, the Expert station wagon (a utilitarian version of the second-generation Avenir W11 model), as is often the case with low-cost models, received only a few changes in the details, one of which, for example, was a different design of the front grille, a modified instrument panel, a different font for writing the model name, etc. The environmental performance of the gasoline engine has improved. In 2004, the release of the diesel version was completed. After the production of the Avenir base model was discontinued in September 2005, the Expert continued to be produced and even received some improvements again - new headlights with a manual corrector, turn signals in the front wings, etc. At the end of 2006, the station wagon was discontinued, and the model became its successor AD Expert.
As before restyling, Nissan Expert has simple trim and upholstery materials, but inside and outfitting it still looks better than other utilitarian smaller class wagons. Standard equipment includes electric mirrors and electric front windows (on the driver's side - with one-touch function), central locking, antibacterial treatment (steering wheel and gear knob, parking brake lever), audio training (radio and two speakers), ozone-friendly type air conditioner. Since 2005, a remote key has been included in standard equipment. More expensive versions will offer a rear wiper, an optional CD player instead of a standard radio, up to 4 speakers. In the top version of the VX-G station wagon has all four power windows, folding mirrors, improved trim. In addition to the equipment listed, additional options included roof rails, tinted windows, a cabin filter. A package for a cold climate was offered: heated mirrors and a wiper, rear air ducts, and an increased capacity battery. Engines Nissan Expert W11 release 2002-2006 - in-line four-cylinder, type DOHC. The petrol QG18DE delivers a maximum of 125 horsepower (at 5600 rpm) and 165 Nm of torque (at 4400 rpm). With the YD22DD diesel engine, 79 “horses” are located under the hood of the station wagon (maximum power at 4000 rpm), and the torque indicator is 157 Nm (at 2000 rpm). The gasoline engine was equipped only with an automatic 4-speed gearbox, the drive - front or full. The diesel version offered front-wheel drive with 5MKPP and 4AKPP, in the latter case, all-wheel drive was also possible. With a fuel tank volume of 60 liters, Nissan Expert was able to run on one liter of fuel (at a flow rate of 10-15) up to 12.8-13.8 kilometers in gasoline and up to 14.6-18.8 km in diesel. As already mentioned, in 2004 there was no diesel version.

The Nissan Expert W11 station wagon has a MacPherson strut front independent suspension. The rear suspension of the front-wheel drive models is semi-dependent (torsion beam), while the all-wheel drive models are independent, multi-link. All models have power steering, ventilated disc brakes at the front and rear drum brakes. The standard tires for the station wagon were cargo tires 165R14-6PRLT front and rear. Body dimensions: length 4650 mm, width and height 1695 and 1470 mm. Wheelbase - 2620 mm. The minimum turning radius is 5.2-5.3 m. Corresponding to the class and the stock of space for the rear passengers, and the boot volume among such station wagons is almost a record - 2.4 cubic meters. m. with the sofa folded. For example, Toyota Probox / Succeed, which were produced in the same years, which can be considered competitors of Expert, has only 1.8 cu. m. It is important that with a full landing (5 people), the carrying capacity of the machine is 300/250 kg (2WD / 4WD), and the maximum carrying capacity in the presence of 2 people is 500/400 kg (2WD / 4WD). The rear seat can be easily folded forward using the handle on the top of the back. The loading length of the trunk reaches 1820-1850 mm, width 1325 mm, height 830-855 mm.

Regardless of the configuration, the 2002-2006 Nissan Expert W11 was equipped with a standard driver's airbag, offered three-point belts for the front and rear seats (central rear - two-point), and stiffeners in the doors. For an extra charge, an anti-lock braking system and a passenger airbag, front belts with pretensioners and load limiters were installed. Even the indicator lamps on the front fenders introduced into the design of the vehicle comply with the new safety standards (2005).

The size and adequate price in the secondary market (Nissan has always been cheaper than Toyota) made Expert one of the best sellers. This station wagon has a sturdy, sturdy suspension and a large, easy-to-use luggage compartment, although the commercial model itself is very modest in terms of comfort. The engines are unpretentious and quite reliable, but the ground clearance is small, and the body does not hurt a good anti-corrosion treatment.
