In 2014, Nissan made the next update of the flagship sports car GT-R. The main changes relate to the design and mechanical component of the car, but the power plant remained the same - under the hood is a 3.8-liter V6 with two turbochargers, with a capacity of 545 hp. According to the manufacturer, the updated Nissan GT-R offers more comfortable driving performance and an even more sophisticated finish. To freshen up the appearance, several new body colors were proposed, head optics underwent changes - the car received new LED headlights with a characteristic “lightning” emphasizing the fast-paced character of the sports car - a unique design became a special feature of the GT-R, so that the car is recognizable even in the dark time of day, in addition, LED-elements have a high radiation intensity, improving visibility. In the interior, the changes are more aesthetic. There are three color schemes for the execution of the Premium Edition, including a new version with ivory trim (Ivory). In general, the interior still demonstrates sporting excellence: bucket seats provide an ideal “grip” and are equipped with an electric drive, the mandatory three-spoke multifunction steering wheel with numerous control keys and shift paddles allows less distraction from the road. The car is equipped with a keyless entry system, climate control, a navigation system with a 7-inch touch screen, a rearview camera, a premium BOSE audio system, which includes 11 speakers and USB / iPod connectors, a Hands free system and a DVD player.

Everything remains unchanged under the hood - since the return of the 3.8-liter twin-turbo V-6 was increased to 540 hp, which is achieved at 6400 rpm, and the torque reaches 628 Nm in the range 3200 - 5800 rpm The engine is mated to a six-speed dual-clutch gearbox. Acceleration to 100 km / h will require only 2.7 seconds., The maximum speed is limited to 315 km / h. Fuel consumption in the combined cycle is 11.7 l / 100 km. By default, the GT-R is equipped with an all-wheel drive system.

The GT-R suspension (double wishbone front and multi-link rear) received a number of improvements that further reduced vibration and better distributed load between the wheels. More stable contact with the road is ensured by an optimized electronic control system for damper valves, as well as an upgraded front stabilizer. By default, the model is now equipped with Dunlop tires made using run-flat technology. With this rubber, the ride and the stability of the car on the road have improved. Thanks to brake pads with an improved structure, a new flywheel housing and trunk lining, the noise level is reduced. Due to the reconfiguration of the steering, the effort on the steering wheel is reduced during maneuvering, while at the high speeds, exceptional feedback is maintained.

Among other things, the GT-R received major changes that are invisible to the eye - in particular, the build quality of the body was improved, the number of parts of high accuracy was increased, more high-strength steels were used. All this allowed to further strengthen the rigidity of the body. The new LED headlights equipped with the AFS system improve safety directly while driving, automatically bringing the direction of the light beam in accordance with the speed of the car (the higher the speed, the further the headlights shine). At the same time, the design of the headlights provides four LED-blocks, one of which is responsible for the high beam, and three more for the low beam, which provide improved illumination both forward and wide. It is worth noting that even before the second restyling, in 2013, there were rumors about the upcoming appearance of the second generation (given that the GT-R has been produced since 2007), the release of which was forecasted for 2015-2016. However, the manufacturer considered that the potential for updating the current generation of the model is far from exhausted. Therefore, it is not surprising that after the modernizations of 2014-2015, the company introduced in 2016 the 2018-2019 Nissan GT-R of the model year all in the same body, but with a very significant list of changes.
