The second-generation Nissan March wears the K11 factory index. This model began to be produced in 1992 and gained wide popularity not only in Japan, but also in the European market, where it was sold under the name Micra. From the predecessor with its wedge-shaped silhouette and an elongated hood, the second-generation March compares favorably with a more elegant appearance. The hatchback has no corners and, while maintaining almost the same dimensions, makes better use of the internal space - it has become noticeably freer in the passenger compartment, including due to a small (by 60 mm) increase in the wheelbase. In the second generation, March is equipped with in-line 4-cylinder DOHC engines of 1.0 and 1.3 liters, but turbo options are no longer provided for. The hatchback is still available in a 3- or 5-door body, and offers many configuration options. The highest rating was given to cars that use natural materials such as wood and leather in the interior decoration.
The interior of the Nissan March K11 looks dull. The eye is attracted by the original visor of the instrument cluster, as if loaded onto the front panel of the cabin, the surface of which, in turn, resembles a large and practical shelf where it is convenient to put something. There are numerous other storage places: a spacious glove compartment, a niche under the steering column, pockets in the front doors, etc. If in the simplest trim levels March does not even have a power steering, and the rear wiper was offered as an option, then expensive versions of the hatchback will offer alloy wheels, an adjustable steering column, radio, electric windows, air conditioning. For a fee - CD player, remote door opener and other options. For the hatchback, various body colors (including bright colors), decorative moldings made of unpainted plastic (with black mirrors) or body color in more expensive trim levels were offered. A wide variety of colors and textures featured upholstery. As usual, the versions with the original design are of interest: in the classic "retro" or in a sporty style. It is also interesting to note that on the basis of this hatchback in 1995, the Mitsuoka Viewt sedan was created, a modern interpretation of the 1960s Jaguar Type 2.

For the second-generation Nissan March, completely new all-aluminum engines were offered: a 1.0-liter CG10DE with 58 hp. (79 Nm) and the 1.3-liter CG13DE with 79 hp. (109 Nm). Both 4-cylinder, 16-valve, type DOHC. Depending on the modification, March can be equipped with a 5-speed manual transmission, 4-speed automatic transmission or (for the first time) CVT variator. Nissan March is still a very economical car - according to the accepted fuel consumption estimate in Japan, the hatchback is capable of driving 14.8 to 22 kilometers per liter of gas, which, in terms of the usual performance, is 4.54-6.75 l / 100 km A decent power reserve is also guaranteed by a decent fuel tank capacity of 42 liters.

Nissan March of the second generation (K11) 1992-1997 has an independent front suspension (suspension struts such as McPherson) and a rear semi-independent. Front-wheel drive It is equipped with steering gear-type steering (in more expensive trim levels with hydraulic booster), front disc brakes and rear drum brakes. The hatchback was offered in five- and three-door versions and has compact body dimensions: length - 3695 mm, width - 1585 mm, height - 1425 mm. Compared to its predecessor, the wheelbase has increased from 2300 to 2360 mm. The minimum turning radius of the machine is 4.6 m. March can be equipped with R12 or R13 rims. Ground clearance 150 mm. The trunk volume has increased to 206 liters (it used to be 180 liters), it can be further increased to 960 liters due to the folding backrest of the rear seat (it is divided into parts in more expensive configurations).

The safety level of the Nissan March of the second generation compared to the previous model has increased due to increased body rigidity, the presence of standard side amplifiers in the doors. For the car, seat belts with pretensioners, a driver's airbag, anti-lock brakes, child seat fasteners were also offered. At the same time, in the crash tests of Euro NCAP in 1997, the car (Micra K11) received only two stars.

The second generation Nissan March is one of the best compact models of its time. The car has received numerous awards both in Japan and abroad. For example, he became the first Japanese model to earn the title "European Car of the Year" (1993). Nissan March (K11) is distinguished by high quality production, engine reliability. However, there are also disadvantages. The bodies are prone to corrosion, there are problems with the reliability of the variator, the suspension is stiff, and the 1.0-liter engine is rather weak. For several years, the car was produced unchanged, however, retaining a "sense of freshness" and remaining an old good friend for its fans. Modernization of the second generation March took place in 1997.
