Along with the change in the lineup of the twin Mitsubishi eK Wagon / Sport, the Nissan Otti has also been updated. These cars are almost completely identical in the simplicity and angularity of the exterior and the main structures, however Otti is distinguished by a characteristic "Nissan" radiator grill. Like the base model, the Otti is very spacious inside and is available in a version with a sliding rear left door on the remote control. There are sports models RS and RX, they are distinguished by aerodynamic elements of the body, a special design of the headlights, aluminum rims, as well as black accents in the interior. The model is equipped with two types of engine - atmospheric (50 hp) or with a turbocharger (64 hp).
 The car still has a straightforward design front panel, all the main controls are concentrated on the center console, including the transmission lever for models with an automatic transmission. Standard equipment S will offer a height-adjustable driver's seat, air conditioning, power windows and central locking, CD player. The cars of the younger series S, E and M have a beige interior. RS models come with 13-inch aluminum wheels, while the RX has 14-inch ones. In addition, sports versions are equipped with a digital speedometer and an analogue tachometer, and xenon headlights with auto-alignment are included in the equipment. In May 2007, the Noir Sound Selection performance was added in black and with a high-quality audio system. The Rider version with the design from Autech Japan is distinguished by unique body parts and alloy wheels, inscriptions on the body and side skirts, as well as a complete set and a black interior with exclusive decoration materials.

 Compared to its predecessor, no significant progress has occurred in the mechanical part of the Mitsubishi eK family and their twin Nissan Otti. The machine has a 3-cylinder 12-valve SOHC engine. It is aggregated at choice with a 5-step “mechanics”, a 3- or 4-step “automatic”, the selector of which is located on the dashboard. The designation of the power unit has not changed - 3G83. With a working volume of 657 “cubes”, it gives a maximum power of 50 horsepower (6500 rpm) and a maximum torque of 62 Nm (4000 rpm). The car was produced in front-wheel or all-wheel drive (4WD FULLTIME) version. The gasoline consumption at the single-drive is 4.7-5.2 liters per 100 kilometers, and the four-wheel drive modification consumes 5.1-5.7 liters per 100 kilometers. The size of the fuel tank also has not changed and meets the needs of this car - 30 liters.

 The chassis of the second-generation Otti model was completely adopted from its predecessor. As a result, the previous wheelbase size (2340 mm), track gauge and turning radius (modest 4.4 meters) were retained. Front independent suspension with MacPherson struts, and rear dependent on trailing arms. Steering - rack type with an amplifier. Traditional design brake system with disc mechanisms on the front axle and drum mechanisms on the rear. The dimensions of the body are the same as its predecessor: 3395 x 1475 x 1550 mm (L x W x H), while the models RX and RZ have a body height of 1570 mm. The cabin has slightly increased in size: its height is 1290 mm (+10 mm), width 1275 (+55 mm), and length 1895 mm (+65 mm). The left rear door in some models is a sliding type. Its guide does not protrude outside and does not spoil the appearance of the car, this design increases convenience in tight parking, and the opening dimensions are 1005 x 530 mm.

 The second generation of this car has become safer by adopting a new steering column with shock-absorbing design and a safe pedal assembly. The standard equipment includes two airbags (for the driver and front passenger), seat belts with restraints and pretensioners. All Nissan Otti are equipped with anti-lock braking system with brake force distribution and emergency braking assistance.

 The new version of the Nissan Otti minicar, as well as the base models of the Mitsubishi eK Wagon and eK Sport, is an improved copy of the predecessor with all its advantages: ease of operation, economy, convenience for shopping, ease of maintenance, good ground clearance. The shortcomings are also preserved - cramped rear, poor sound insulation, stiff short-stroke suspension, weak atmospheric engine.
