The third generation Subaru Forester receives numerous changes. An additional improvement to the motor-transmission pair was the installation of the SI-DRIVE motor control system, which allows, depending on the driving style, to choose the most suitable engine operating mode in order to ensure maximum efficiency or maximum dynamics. The third generation Subaru Forester is designed on the Subaru Impreza chassis. The latest double-wishbone independent rear axle suspension has improved vehicle safety by enhancing traction. The total length of the car body is 4560 mm, which is 74 mm more than the previous generation; the Forester has added 45 mm in width, that is, its total width is now 1780 mm; the car grew by 85 mm, which resulted in 1675 mm growth. The wheelbase has also become larger, now it is 2615 mm, and was previously 90 mm less. The minimum turning radius of a car is 5.3 meters. The increased dimensions of the body made it possible to make more spacious not only the interior, but also the luggage compartment - its volume is 450 liters.

The new Forester is equipped as standard with symmetrical all-wheel drive, dynamic vehicle stability system.
