Hatchback
Simply put, the Toyota Blade is an upscale version of the Auris hatchback. These cars have a common platform and an almost identical silhouette, but visually Blade distinguishes the design of the grille, front and rear lights. The same can be said about the interior - there are no fundamental differences here. The ergonomic center console deserves special attention. The distances between the steering wheel, gear knob and hand brake lever are shortened. The undercarriage is equipped with independent double wishbone rear suspension, which makes the ride more sporty. Unlike the Auris with its 1.8- and 1.5-liter engines, the Blade is equipped with a 2.4-liter 4-cylinder in-line engine in combination with a CVT gearbox supplemented by a 7-speed sequential mode. (December 2006)
On the basis of the “G” and “Master G” modifications, an even more luxurious version “L” was added, which included leather trim in red rock seats, emblems of amber color and chrome wheels. The luggage space has been reorganized, as a result of which the trunk has received additional volume. (October 2008)

Some elements of the interior and exterior have undergone changes. There was a new complete set of front-wheel drive model with a 2.4-liter engine - “S Package”, which is distinguished by a special spoiler design and modified suspension settings. The 3.5-liter “Master G” modification is now equipped with a Sport 6-speed Sport Direct Shift transmission under the Toyota brand. (November 2009)
