If you classify the car in accordance with the prevailing stereotypes, then, relatively speaking, it should be attributed to the group of 3-door hatchbacks. Or define this model as a compact car - two-volume. But the fact is that this machine does not exactly fit into any framework that existed before this. And the forced assignment of this car to one or another group will not give a complete picture of its true potential. If you take only the dimensions, the Porte car is very similar to the Toyota bB or Funcargo model. For comfort, however, it is closer to a passenger car. A distinctive feature is a large sliding door on the front passenger side. If you open it completely, then the front and rear seats are equally accessible. And this makes it possible to use the same door both for boarding passengers and for loading luggage. In French, such a door is called "porte". This, in particular, is the innovative character of the new car. If you open the door and measure the doorway, then its area will be even larger than that of a higher-class car Toyota Alphard. On the driver’s side, the body is equipped with an ordinary door.

 The spaciousness of the cabin is also amazing. The ceiling is higher than in the Alphard cabin, its height is 1390 mm. It turns out that a child of school age can walk around the cabin without bending. The distance between the front and rear seats is such that, according to this indicator, the car can argue with the Celsior interior. In a word, judging by the size of the cabin, this car can be freely assigned to the category of VIP-cars. At the same time, because of its low, even floor and because of the large selection of ways to transform and place the seats, it is as practical as a modern minivan.  The machine is equipped with 4-cylinder engines of the DOHC type with a displacement of 1.3 and 1.5 liters, both engines being combined with a 4-speed gearbox. As for the type of drive, only the front-wheel drive version of the machine is provided.
