Restyling of the compact Toyota Ractis car for the domestic Japanese market was carried out in 2014. The exterior and interior of the car have not undergone significant changes. In appearance, you can pay attention to the new headlights (in all trim levels they are equipped with LED daytime running lights) and combined rear lights. The new grille is now with a full chrome frame in a three-dimensional style. The sports version “S” has a more stylish design of aluminum wheels. As usual, the restyled version of the little things updated interior. The old 1.3-liter 1NR-FE engine has been replaced by the upgraded 1NR-FKE engine and has become more economical due to numerous modern technologies, as well as the optional Toyota Stop & Start system.  Changes in the Toyota Ractis II interior are aimed at visual and functional improvement of the interior of this car. For example, the center console received a border with metallic blackening, the texture of the coating of the visor of the dashboard and the entire front panel has changed. The steering column, as with the previous generation, is adjustable for the reach - this is a feature of all trim levels, except for the base “X”. In addition, among the devices you can now see a monitor for monitoring systems for reducing fuel consumption. The choice of color schemes for the decoration has changed: a black interior or two-tone is offered, while the texture of the fabric can be different - there are five options to choose from. In the general list of trim levels, the G Prime Style version, created on the basis of the G version, but with an improved set of equipment: standard fog lights, xenon head light, alloy wheels deserves special attention.  As already noted, the main innovation of restyling was the new 1.3-liter gasoline engine. It can operate on the Atkinson cycle, is equipped with EGR and VVT-iE systems. Thanks to the engine restart function, fuel consumption is approximately 4.5 liters per hundred in mixed mode, which corresponds to a mileage of 21.8 km / l in JC08 mode. The multi-information display on the dashboard gives tips to make driving as economical as possible. All this made it possible to achieve the fuel efficiency standard “2015 + 10%”. Ractis with a 1.5-liter engine has a capacity of 109 hp front-wheel drive and 103 hp in all-wheel drive (ATC active torque control system with rear wheels connected using an electromagnetic clutch). These modifications have improved dynamics, as they are equipped with a variator with a sports 7-speed mode.  Ractis has an independent front suspension with MacPherson struts, and a torsion beam at the rear. Version S has a sporty character (European-tuned suspension, shift paddles, etc.). The car is equipped with 175 / 60R16 tires. Spare wheel - option, instead of a repair kit included. In this generation, the total length of the car body is 3995 mm, width - 1695 mm, height - 1585 mm. The wheelbase has remained unchanged - 2550 mm. Turning radius - 4.9 m. Cabin length 1875-1965 mm, width 1420, height 1310 mm. It is important that the principle of transformation is preserved. The salon can easily be laid out on an even plane: you can increase the trunk and spend the night. The trunk of the Ractis II / Verso-S is quite roomy - 430 liters. At the same time, it allows you to carry not only long objects with the seats folded, but also tall ones, if necessary, transport them only while standing (for example, a house tree in a pot) - the standard height of 910 mm is easily increased due to the removable luggage racks to an average of 1030 mm and up to a maximum of 1200 mm. Ractis 2014-2015 standard equipment includes electronic stability control and traction control (S-VSC & TRC). The car is equipped with two frontal airbags, ABS system with EBD, seat belts with pretensioners and force limiters, head restraints with a protection system against whiplash injuries. Optional equipment includes side airbags for the driver and front passenger, front and rear curtain airbags. The body meets stringent passive safety (GOA) standards.

 Ractis in the second generation has developed and improved all the advantages and interesting features of its predecessor. It looks great externally, is compact enough and convenient for the city. With its roomy and thoughtful interior, Ractis should appeal to fans of long-distance family trips. True, we immediately note that the 1.5-liter version has more to do with this. Disadvantages: low clearance, poor insulation, there are complaints of a long warm-up in the winter interior.
