Van
The Hiace minibus and the fifth-generation Regius Ace van are worthy representatives of their name. While many models cut their lines as much as possible, leaving a minimum of configurations, Toyota “vans” are rich in many designs. And we are not talking about some interior trifles. Cars differ in much more serious things. So, the passenger 10-seater Hiace, being a long-wheelbase, has two options for the height of the roof. Cargo with a bench behind the front seats of the Regius Ace, often offered without upholstery of the interior panels of the cargo compartment, in body versions is even more diverse. Three options for the roof, two for the wheelbase and body width. Short-wheel versions of already long 185 mm vans. And it's not about the mirrors - the size of the wheelbase of the modifications varies.
The technique is known for off-road Toyota models. True, the passenger Hiace is limited in it - only an automatic transmission and a 2.7-liter gasoline engine. Regius Ace is more diverse. He has a two-liter gasoline unit, and the aforementioned engine, and two diesel engines derated from the common rail. An old Hiace-like “automatic” is complemented by a manual gearbox. And all-wheel drive ... Well, what a commercial Toyota for the domestic market does without 4WD!
