Introduced in 1990, Toyota Vista V30 Series was offered in two varieties of four-door body. Vista Hardtop with frameless doors in advertising catalogs was positioned as a more stylish and expensive option, which included Touring class cars that were equipped in a sporty style. The usual Vista Sedan in a classic body with frame doors possessed all the best qualities inherent in the Vista / Camry family, and in addition - at an affordable price. If you look at the chronology of the development of this series, then the model has become the third in a row. The aggregate line includes 4-cylinder engines, gasoline and diesel. In the model range there were also cars on all-wheel drive and with steering of all four wheels.
A number of configurations of Vista Sedan V30 (1990-1992) opens the budget version of VL. The car is standardly equipped with front fog lights, electric mirrors, steering column tilt adjustment, a radio, and additional options allowed to improve the equipment: full power accessories, central locking, etc. More expensive configurations as the cost increased, offered alloy wheels, a folding rear seat, a leather steering wheel, a remote control for the central lock, an adjustment for the steering wheel on the fly, additional storage compartments, front and rear armrests, a CD player and an advanced audio system with better sound, climate control control, optional sunroof and more. In 1991, the Etoile V sedan series was released, where at no extra charge the car was equipped with a driver's seat with improved adjustments, a rear center armrest and a number of other special options.

The third generation Toyota Vista Sedan (V30) offers two versions of four-cylinder gasoline engines: the base 4S-FE with a working volume of 1.8 liters and 115 hp. in combination with a 5-speed "mechanics" or 4-speed "automatic". As well as a two-liter unit 3S-FE with a return of 140 hp With this engine, four-wheel drive was available for both types of transmission (5MT and 4AT), in this case the engine power is 135 hp. Buyers could also choose a diesel option - with a 2C-T engine rated at 91 “power” (“mechanics” or “automatic”).

Independent suspension Toyota Vista V30 has a high level of comfort. Front and back are MacPherson struts. This design made it possible to use the 4WS system (for individual trim levels) with rear steering wheels when turning the front wheels. The negative point is that it is necessary to additionally monitor the status of the rear-wheel drive. But on the other hand, by the presence of a working 4WS on a particular vehicle, we can indirectly judge its still in good technical condition. The car is equipped with a brake system with ventilated discs on the front wheels, rear brakes drum or disc. Steering - type "gear rack" with power steering. The dimensions of the body of a Vista sedan (V30): 4600 x 1695 x 1395 mm (L x W x H). The wheelbase is 2600 mm, and the minimum turning radius is 5.3 m. The luggage compartment has a large volume, it can be increased by folding the seatbacks (60:40). The following systems and functions are used in Toyota Vista V30 (1990-1992) to improve vehicle safety. These are three-point seat belts (front with height adjustment), an additional brake light, tilt-adjustable front seat head restraints (optional). All configurations could be equipped with an optional driver's pillow, and in the VR configurations and higher, an ABS system was installed for a surcharge. In the VX configuration, the optional active suspension TEMS (Toyota Electronically Modulated Suspension) was available, which served to increase stability, controllability of the car, as well as traffic safety.

In our country, the peak of popularity of right-hand drive cars of this generation came in the late 90s - early 2000s, when their mass delivery took place. So all the disadvantages are more related only to the age of the cars themselves. Of the advantages of Toyota Vista, we note a spacious interior, and in general a very high level of comfort. And of course, excellent workmanship, so you can still find copies in good technical condition at a very reasonable price.
