In the third generation, the compact Honda Acty truck demonstrates increased safety according to the results of crash tests (frontal at a speed of 55 km / h and frontal with a displaced center at 64 km / h). The mid-engined rear-wheel drive layout was used on this model; the model is equipped with a 3-cylinder SOHC engine with 12 valves. The cargo compartment is very convenient to use, allows you to place cargo with maximum space savings. In addition to the Realtime 4WD plug-in all-wheel drive system, some modifications are equipped with a locking differential, which is very convenient for rural work. The list of basic equipment includes a driver's airbag, and the number of options includes an anti-lock braking system ABS and an emergency braking system Brake Assist. (May 1999)
All models now have a bumper painted in body color, while this change did not affect the final price. Added cheap modifications with very simple equipment - "SDX-N" and "ATTACK-N". (February 2000)

The length of the cargo compartment increased from 1870 mm to 1940 mm, the shape of the tailgate changed, hooks for the cable appeared, the design of the radiator grille and the front bumper were changed, the suspension settings were optimized, and the efficiency of the heater was improved. (December 2000)

Mirrors and door handles began to be painted in body color, the center console received a metal finish, the design of the seats was changed. Honda Acty Truck exhaust toxicity is recognized as ultra-low. (April 2003)

An additional bottom-view mirror is installed on the left door mirror, which made it possible to reduce the "dead zone". Headlights are now equipped with a leveling mechanism. (December 2005)

The air conditioner was included in the list of basic equipment of the “Town” modification. (February 2007)
