In 1991, at the Tokyo Auto Show, Mazda introduced its new model - the Eunos 500 sedan, created on the CA platform. The exterior of the car received flattering reviews from observers who compared it to the Jaguar, but the trim was found to be somewhat boring.
In 1992, sales of the sedan begin. The Eunos 500 Sedan was produced at the facilities of Mazda (under the name Xedos 6) and a subsidiary of Eunos. The Junos 500 Sedan was sold in Japan and Australia and was only available with right-hand drive. The release of the car under the Eunos brand ceased in December 1995.

Six-cylinder engines with a volume of 1.8 liters (115 hp) and 2.0 liters (140 hp and 160 hp) were installed on the Eunos 500 sedan, which were distinguished by good dynamics. All engines were powered by gasoline and had a built-in system for reducing harmful emissions. The combined fuel consumption was 7.2 - 9.6 liters. The fuel tank has a capacity of 60 liters.

The chassis of the sedan was borrowed from the front-wheel drive Mazda Cronos and Efini MS-6. The Eunos 500 sedan was available with a four-speed automatic transmission or five-speed manual. Acceleration from zero to hundreds occurred in exactly nine seconds (modifications with a 2.0 liter engine and manual transmission), and the maximum speed was 205 km / h. All modifications of the "Japanese" were front-wheel drive. Car suspension - suspension struts with coil spring and stabilizer (front - McPherson). On some modifications of the sedan a limited slip differential (LSD) was installed. Brakes - disc (front - ventilated).

The dimensions of the Eunos 500 were as follows: length - 4545 mm, width - 1695 mm, height - 1350 mm. Trunk volume - 430 liters. Ground clearance - 15 centimeters. The salon is designed for five people. Two types of finishes were available: velor or leather.

The Eunos 300 sedan was available in several trim levels: J, K, D, E, F, F-X, F-SV, GT-i, G. The J configuration included electric side mirrors, power steering, steering column adjustment, power windows, a door stiffener and a cassette player. The rear seats could be removed.

Other configurations were supplemented by front fog lights, air conditioning or climate control, airbags, anti-lock braking system (ABS), electric sunroof, leather steering wheel braid, rear fog lights. In picking G leather seats were installed.
