In 2003, the Nissan Cima sedan underwent a small upgrade, during which the design of the front grille and aluminum wheel rims was redesigned. The headlight coverage sector has expanded to 30 degrees, the car is supplemented by the Pre-crash safety system. In addition, Active AFS has been adopted, which automatically changes the lighting range depending on road conditions. The power units remain the same, both gasoline, with a power of 280 “forces”: an atmospheric 4.5-liter V8 or a 3.0-liter turbo V6. Inside, the Nissan Cima F50 updates are small. The most noticeable - the appearance of the middle section on the front panel of the cabin has changed. The car is produced in the following classes: for cars with an engine of 4.5 V8 these are versions 450XL, 450XV, 450VIP, and in all-wheel drive versions - 450X FOUR and 450VIP FOUR; with 3.0 V6 engine - 300G and 300G grand touring models. The latest equipment is a sports version of the sedan with 18-inch aluminum wheels, 245 / 45R18 tires, a sporty-tuned suspension and special trim elements (black and smoky-chrome) inside and out. VIP models are characterized by the highest quality filling, including comfortable rear VIP seats with individual adjustments. In the restyled line, the 450XV 20th Limited series deserves special interest - in these cars you can find an electric drive for all seats (front with ventilation), leather upholstery, mahogany trim, numerous convenient accessories, a trunk with an opening / closing mechanism. In the top versions of the Nissan Cima 2003-2008, the VK45DE naturally aspirated engine is installed: an 8-cylinder, V-shaped, DOHC, with a displacement of 4.5 liters. Developed power - 280 hp In addition to this main option, there is a modification with the traditional 6-cylinder turbo engine, DOHC VQ30DET, the power of which is also equal to 280 hp. Both versions offer versions with rear-wheel drive, and for the 4.5 V8 unit there is also an all-wheel drive version with traction on all four wheels. Rear-wheel drive cars are equipped with a 5-speed automatic transmission with manual shift mode, all-wheel drive - 4-speed automatic transmission. In the summer of 2007, turbo modifications with a 3.0 liter engine that did not meet emission standards were removed from the model line.

The chassis of the Nissan Cima F50 has a rack-mount front suspension and a multi-link rear suspension. The car is equipped with ventilated disc brakes. The size of the rims varies depending on the specification: a landing diameter of 16-18 inches. Sedan dimensions: length 4995 mm, width 1845 mm, height 1490-1505 mm. The car has a wheelbase of 2870 mm, the minimum turning radius is relatively small - 5.3 m. The saloon of the sedan measures 2000 x 1530 x 1200 mm (L x W x H), so there is no lack of space either in front or behind. As for the trunk, its volume approaches 400 liters, there is a hatch for transporting skis. The fourth-generation Nissan Cima in 2003 was replenished with new safety systems like an intelligent braking assistance system, Active Head Light Control (Active AFS). Standard equipment includes front and side airbags, ABS, EBD and BA systems, a shock-sensitive door lock release system, three-point seat belts (front with pretensioners and restraints). The limited slip differential with a viscous coupling in the rear axle helps to level the trajectory during acceleration and is complemented by the Vehicle Dynamic Control stabilizing system. A Lane keep support system is also available, which includes a lane support system and radar cruise control.

The fourth-generation Nissan Cima (F50) differs from its predecessors in a fundamentally new appearance that best emphasizes the premium-sporty character of this car. Comfortable seats with excellent support, "full stuffing" of expensive trim levels, a spacious interior, powerful engines - the model has many pluses. If the owners complain about something, then this is most often high fuel consumption, demanding maintenance, expensive suspension repairs. The next modernization of Cima took place in 2008. The late-release models underwent a number of changes and were equipped only with engine 4. 5 V8.
