SUV
Mid-size SUV Nissan Pathfinder released for the American and European markets. The European model was made at Nissan's factory in Spain, which is not far from the city of Barcelona. Two options for the engine were offered to Russian buyers of Nissan Pathfinder: a four-cylinder 2.5-liter turbodiesel (174 hp) and a petrol four-liter V6 (269 hp) with a 6-speed manual or 5-speed automatic transmission with manual transmission switching. A diesel injection system (common rail), a variable geometry turbocharger and an intercooler are used on diesel versions. The gearbox has dual (for I, III and IV gears) and even triple (for II gears) synchronizers.
Four-wheel drive of the new generation ALL-MODE 4x4 allows you to move on the rear wheel drive, connecting the front if necessary, automatically redistributing the torque between the axles. All-wheel drive can be carried out in three modes: Auto, 4H1 and 4LO. In the first case, the system distributes torque to each axis depending on the condition of the road surface. This mode is recommended for use on wet, slippery and snowy roads. In light off-road conditions (broken roads, sand, snow, etc.) it is recommended to switch to 4H1 mode. And finally, for driving in difficult road conditions, when reliable wheel grip is more important than speed, 4LO mode is designed. In this case (and in 4HI mode) the distribution of torque between the front and rear axles automatically changes to a ratio of 50:50. Off-road properties of the car are supported by electronically blocked differentials, the engine compartment is protected from below by a metal sheet, and the protruding transmission parts are pulled to the bottom. The clearance under the crankcase is 230 mm. The angles of entry / exit and longitudinal patency - 33/25/24 degrees. The updated version of Nissan Pathfinder uses the most advanced passive safety systems. Standard equipment includes two frontal airbags, side airbags for the driver and front passenger, as well as air curtains that protect all passengers, including those on the third row, in a side collision, together with a reinforced frame, sturdy front pillars, thresholds, transverse frame and roof elements, built-in bars to protect against side impact. The standard equipment for a five-seater Nissan Pathfinder "XE" with a diesel engine and manual transmission includes: ABS, EBD, ESP, separate climate control, power accessories, 17-inch alloy wheels, headlight washers, a CD player with 4 speakers, an immobilizer and an on-board computer.

"SE" version offers a seven-seater saloon and the same diesel engine with a manual or automatic transmission. To increase the load capacity, the third row of seats folds to the floor, and the luggage compartment volume reaches 2091 liters. All seats in the second row have 64 options for transformation, and the glass of the rear door can be opened separately. This package includes seats with lumbar support and adjustable driver's seat height, roof rails, leather trim gearshift lever, alarm, automatic low beam, rain sensor, fog lights. An option is hands-free for Blutooth-enabled mobile phones.

The top-of-the-line equipment “LE” includes a BOSE premium CD radio with MP3 and AM / FM / LW radio, as well as 6 speakers, cruise control with steering wheel controls, an electric sunroof, bi-xenon headlights with automatic hydraulic corrector.
