Toyota Raum hit the market in 1997. This car embodied numerous ideas; the impact that Raum had on the compact car market in the future should not be underestimated.
Raum is based on the Tercel / Corsa model. By the type of body Raum belong to minivans, although in overall dimensions it is very close to station wagons. It is equipped with wide swing-open front doors and sliding rear doors that are convenient to open even in tight places. Paired seats, the distance from the seat of the chair to the ground is 600 mm, a variable size of the passage between the seats, folding in two receptions of the seat, a special system for securing the rear door and many other innovations were implemented in this compact minivan.

Raum is equipped with a 1.5-liter engine and a 4-speed automatic transmission. On some versions, a permanent all-wheel drive system is installed. While driving in Raum, it seems that he is literally overflowing with the embodiment of all kinds of ideas. After restyling in 1999, the exterior of the car became even more attractive thanks to the updated design of the grille and bumper.
